About the role
- Accountant managing Accounts Payable processes for OLX, ensuring efficiency and collaboration within finance departments. Engaging in vendor management, invoice posting, and leveraging AI for optimizations.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring efficiency & high quality of AP processes;
- Accelerate value & make an impact by doing day-to-day Accounts Payable operations;
- Balance sheet accounts monitoring, month-end closing related activities;
- Posting of purchase invoices in accordance with the accounting and tax regulations;
- New vendor onboarding;
- Leveraging AI technologies and building intelligent agents to automate and optimize workflows;
- Monitoring payment deadlines and controlling the execution of payments;
- Managing queries incl. vendor and employee queries;
- Travel & expense handling;
- Working collaboratively with different finance departments;
- Participation in other projects within the OLX Group.
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields;
- A minimum 2 years of experience in the Accounts Payable area;
- Experience and understanding of the BPO/SSC market is a plus;
- Solid accounting knowledge or Accounts Payable process knowledge;
- Strong interpersonal skills, communicative skills;
- Mature attitude towards challenges and problem solving;
- Fluent English (oral and written);
- Knowledge of SAP and Excel.
