About the role
- Client Accounting Services Manager managing delivery of accounting services across high-quality client portfolios at Ogier. Leading a team and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery and quality of accounting services across multiple service lines
- Manage a small team of accounting professionals
- Support team development and ensure high standard of output
- Managing and maintaining overall control of accounting services
- Reviewing financial statements, management accounts, and bookkeeping
- Implementing and monitoring quality control systems
- Providing technical accounting support during client meetings
- Leading and contributing to senior level decisions and projects
- Working closely with software consultants
- Assisting with recruitment, training, and professional development
- Meeting regularly with in house teams
- Assisting in creating and maintaining client specific accounting procedures
- Liaising with tax advisors and ensuring compliance with UK tax requirements
- Liaising with external auditors
- Completing CRS and FATCA reporting requirements
- Undertaking other ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent)
- Demonstrated post qualification experience
- Detailed knowledge of the local finance industry and relevant legislation
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting standards, and audit methodologies
- Experience preparing financial statements under FRS 102 and IFRS
- Ability to produce high quality client management information
- Knowledge of financial reporting requirements for Corporate, Real Estate, and Private Wealth clients
- Familiarity with the UK tax environment
- Experience with Caseware or Viewpoint is advantageous but not essential
