About the role
- Intercompany Senior Accountant at Novartis ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Leading month-end closes and driving process improvements in accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead intercompany month-end close, including journal entries, accruals and eliminations.
- Perform detailed reconciliation of intercompany balances; investigate and resolve mismatches.
- Partner with global affiliates to resolve disputes, clarify postings, and ensure timely settlements.
- Maintain intercompany master data and ensure compliance with internal controls and NAM policies.
- Support audit requests, provide supporting documentation, and ensure process adherence.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and standardization across IC processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA preferred.
- 3–5+ years of experience in intercompany, GL, or shared services accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and intercompany accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel; proficiency with SAP/S4HANA strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict month-end deadlines.
