About the role
- Principal Manufacturing Metrology Engineer leading critical semiconductor metrology and inspection processes. Enhancing recipe control and throughput across key manufacturing modules.
Responsibilities
- Own the metrology control plan for critical characteristics aligned to CTQs/CTPs.
- Build, qualify, and standardize metrology/inspection recipes.
- Lead MSA (GR&R, bias/linearity, stability) and calibration governance.
- Partner with Integration, Process, Equipment, and Production to improve yield and reduce escapes.
- Optimize sampling, relieve bottlenecks, and improve recipe cycle time.
- Maintain documentation and train technicians.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Engineering/Physics or related field.
- 5+ years in semiconductor/electronics manufacturing metrology.
- Experience with CD‑SEM, ellipsometry, profilometry, XRF/XRD, AOI.
- Image analytics and defect classification.
- Strong SPC/MSA/DOE knowledge; data analysis with JMP/Python.
- High-volume manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is preferred.
