About the role
- Tier 2 Network Administrator supporting intel customer with enterprise support problems and managing network incidents. Responsible for conducting network changes and resolving system failures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct approved network changes to include but not limited to VLan, ACL and port assignment
- Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches
- Perform routing and switching equipment technology upgrades to ensure continued operations of the enterprise
- Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network operations
- Resolve systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services
- Support site survey and engineering designs data calls
- Support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale
- Works independently with some supervision
- Perform Network ticket resolution
- Review and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Requirements
- IAT II TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a CI poly
- Familiarity with both Cisco and Juniper network devices
- Strong working knowledge of the various routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x)
- In-depth knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration process, fault isolation, and firmware upgrade procedures
