About the role
- Engineering Manager leading a team of engineers and data scientists to develop operational intelligence for asset management and forecasting in energy systems. Engage in innovative solutions and team development at a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- You lead a team of approximately ten people and support their technical and personal development
- You are responsible for the systems and models that enable forecasts, dispatch decisions and schedules for our assets
- You design architecture, data flows and automation for dispatch processes
- You work closely with colleagues from Trading, Operations and Data teams
- You drive innovation in forecasting, machine learning and optimization
- You foster a culture of ownership, learning and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Data Science, or equivalent knowledge in these fields
- Proven experience leading teams and working in agile product development
- You stimulate the generation of innovative ideas and support your team in implementing them
- Experience in forecasting, optimization or real-time data processing
- Familiarity with modern software development (Python, Cloud, CI/CD, Microservices)
- Strong communication skills, active listening and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Professional proficiency in German and English (business fluent).
