Responsibilities
To secure technical infrastructure and workloads by designing, and operationalizing capabilities
Support the implementation of continuous security monitoring practices along with threat and vulnerability prevention, detection, and response capabilities.
Collaborate with engineers, internal teams, and vendors to support all phases of product integration, operations, and maintenance to ensure a secure Navy Federal environment.
Conduct routine work assignments of limited scope and complexity under close supervision.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience
College/university degree or 1-2 years of experience in cyber security
Familiarity with system administration, database administration, network engineering, software engineering, or software development
Familiarity with SEIM/SOAR technologies
Familiarity with security operations and cyber-attack methods
Exposure to security engineering with the ability to design and implement secure systems and network
Familiarity with multiple cyber security detection/technologies/tools
Familiarity with a variety of cyber architectures
Understanding of networking principles. Subnetting, OSI layers, network protocols, etc.
Problem-Solving: Curious, analytical, and willing to learn new technologies.
Customer Service Skills: Ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability.
One year of experience as a network engineer (can be substituted with two years of education in related field)
