Responsibilities
Oversee revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, such as ASC 606.
Manage recording of payroll, bonus calculations, and commission accruals with accuracy and timeliness.
Supervise capitalization of software development costs and related accounting entries.
Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities; ensure accuracy of financial statements.
Coordinate with external auditors, prepare documentation, and resolve audit queries promptly.
Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes for efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or equivalent certification.
Minimum 10+ years progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
(Preferred) 4+ years experience working in private equity-backed portfolio company environment(s) or equivalent investment banking experience.
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
Proven experience managing payroll, commissions, and capitalized software accounting.
Expertise in audit coordination.
Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
