Trade Revenue Senior Accounting Specialist ensuring accurate revenue recognition and invoicing for trade customers. Collaborating with finance teams to provide revenue analysis and insights.
Responsibilities
Acts as a mentor and subject‑matter resource for team members, providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and coaching
Provide technical expertise for the recording, monitoring, reporting, and communication of trade customer revenue, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with customer contracts and applicable accounting standards and best practices
Support trade revenue accrual and customer invoicing processes to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition
Monitor and analyze the timeliness of customer payments and partner with stakeholders to identify and resolve issues impacting cash collection
Perform margin, variance, and trend analysis related to trade revenue and communicate insights to business management
Support the annual budget process and monthly and quarterly forecasting and estimate activities
Lead and execute the monthly reconciliation process for trade revenue reporting, ensuring issues are identified, investigated, and resolved
Requirements
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking
A minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience.
The ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, internal controls, cost flows for site services and revenue for trade customers of site services, and financial reporting requirements.
Proven ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
Ability to explain complex accounting concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders.
Ability to strengthen accuracy, timeliness, and consistency within established accounting processes.
Strong understanding of cost flows, activity-based charges, and revenue recognition for site services and trade customers, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting.
