About the role
- Analyzing and ensuring tax compliance for a retail company located in Curitiba, Brazil. This role requires experience in tax legislation and internal audits for efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and calculate the group's direct and indirect taxes, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
- Perform tax reconciliations, ensuring alignment with balances and transactions.
- Review branch tax operations to ensure correct taxation and prevent the risk of tax assessments.
- Create and maintain tax rules in the ERP system, keeping them up to date and ensuring the tax adequacy of operations.
- Prepare and submit ancillary tax filings such as SPED ICMS/IPI, EFD-Reinf, EFD-Contribuições, ADRC-ST, MIT, and ECF.
- Provide technical support to internal departments, clarifying questions and ensuring alignment in operations.
- Review internal processes and propose improvements to increase efficiency and mitigate tax risks.
- Support responses to tax inspections and audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in tax/taxation
- Knowledge of tax legislation and ancillary tax filings
- Intermediate Excel and Power BI skills
- Experience with the Domínio ERP system
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines
