About the role
- Data Vault Consultant implementing Data Vault solutions in cloud environments for MID. Collaborating with teams to ensure data quality and governance while optimizing cloud architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Data Vault 2.1 models
- Design, model and develop data integration solutions based on Data Vault best practices
- Work closely with Data Engineering and BI teams to ensure smooth data pipelines
- Participate in data quality checks, validations, and governance practices
- Analyze client requirements and translate them into scalable, robust architectures
- Assist with migrating existing solutions to the cloud
- Support business reporting and analytics through properly versioned Data Marts
- Train and coach teams in Data Vault methodologies and best practices
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems, Mathematics, STEM field, or a comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of experience in modeling and implementing Data Vault solutions in production environments
- Strong experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, GCP BigQuery, Azure Synapse)
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and cloud architectures
- Advanced SQL experience, ideally including automation and optimization of data processes
- Preferably certified in Data Vault 2.0 or 2.1
- Ability to develop and operate complex cloud-native software
- Analytical and conceptual skills, with an independent and structured working style
- Strong communication skills, creativity, and social/interpersonal competence
- Business-fluent German; English skills as required
- Occasional business travel within Germany
