Responsibilities
Process and analyze satellite imagery to detect power outages and assess data quality.
Develop and apply geospatial and statistical techniques for data interpretation.
Create visualizations, including maps, charts, and reports, to effectively communicate findings.
Prepare written summaries and documentation of methods and results.
Conduct troubleshooting and refine analysis workflows as needed.
Mentor team members on programming and data analysis techniques.
Actively participate in research discussions and provide input on methodological improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in geospatial science, environmental science, data science, computer science, or a related field;
experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing tools;
experience with programming languages such as Python, R, Markdown;
familiarity with satellite imagery processing (e.g., VIIRS, MODIS, Sentinel, Landsat).
strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
