About the role
- Technical Lead overseeing security feature development and initiatives for Dell's Lightning product line. Collaborating globally to enhance security measures and mentor engineers in best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead security feature development and implementation for the Lightning product.
- Drive hands-on execution of security initiatives - threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, secure code reviews, and remediation.
- Build and maintain security tooling, automation, and monitoring systems and implement security controls across product and infrastructure layers.
- Conduct security assessments and drive remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Stay current on emerging security threats and technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams globally to embed security best practices.
- Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and security principles.
- Communicate security risks and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 9+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering and implementation.
- Deep expertise in application security, infrastructure security, and secure SDLC practices.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and threat modelling.
- Experience with security tools for vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and monitoring.
- Proficiency in C++, C, Python and Shell scripting.
- Understanding of containerization security, and modern infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working in agile/scrum environments.
- Ability to work effectively across distributed global teams.
- Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or similar).
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and tooling.
