About the role
- Procurement Contract Associate Manager negotiating commercial agreements for MassMutual. Collaborating with internal teams and managing multiple projects in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate commercial agreements
- Ensure documents meet company policies and business needs
- Work closely with team members and other departments such as legal and IT to help draft, review and finalize contract terms
- Orchestrate multiple simultaneous projects requiring excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Serve as a central point of contact for each contract
- Engage with internal stakeholders to help assess risks specific to each transaction
- Draft and redline contracts to ensure protection from risks
- Collaborate closely with the Procurement team and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1+ year of experience in contract evaluation, drafting, and redlining contracts and negotiating with suppliers
- Ideal Qualifications: 1+ years of experience include redlining and negotiation of IT and technology related contracts including but not limited to Software as a Service (SaaS), hardware, software licensing, IT professional services
- Detail-oriented with a track record of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with procurement teams and stakeholders
- Eagerness to learn and further develop contract negotiation skills
