About the role

  • Sustainability Manager leading operational decarbonisation within M&G’s global corporate operations. Advising on environmental management and sustainability efforts with a focus on compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert leadership, technical authority and delivery oversight for sustainability and environmental management across M&G’s corporate operations globally
  • Shape and execute M&G’s operational decarbonisation pathways
  • Ensure workplace sustainability activity is compliant, defensible, auditable and aligned to regulatory requirements
  • Translate Group‑level climate ambitions into practical, data driven actions across offices, business travel and suppliers
  • Maintain clear ownership of statutory and regulator‑facing sustainability reporting for corporate operations
  • Advise senior stakeholders on sustainability‑related risks, obligations, and opportunities
  • Design, govern and deliver corporate decarbonisation programmes
  • Own end-to-end responsibility for statutory and regulatory sustainability reporting

Requirements

  • Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management or a closely related discipline, plus a relevant post-graduate qualification
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in sustainability or environmental management within a large, complex corporate organisation
  • Proven experience of decarbonising corporate operations, specifically across Corporate offices, Business travel, Supply chain
  • Strong, demonstrable expertise in Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), CDP reporting, Carbon credits – quality, governance and appropriate use
  • Deep understanding of sustainability regulatory and statutory reporting requirements applicable to corporate operations
  • Ability to operate with high autonomy, exercising expert judgement and influencing senior stakeholders without line authority
