About the role
- Lead a UK-based finance team ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting for Malvern Panalytical. Oversee statutory reporting and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, lead a UK-based team of four accountants
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of revenue recognition, order intake and order book reporting
- Prepare, submit, and consolidate financial data for reporting to the KKR Group
- Oversee half-year and annual statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Review and analyze consolidated management accounts for ~60 legal entities
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and group reporting
- Maintain and improve finance master data and reporting structures within the ERP
- Drive continuous improvement and collaboration, identifying efficiency opportunities
Requirements
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- 5+ years’ experience in senior financial reporting and consolidation roles
- Proven people leader with experience building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
- Strong technical accounting expertise, including solid hands-on experience with IFRS, statutory reporting, and consolidation
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with exceptional Excel skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capability
- Confident and persuasive communicator, skilled at presenting complex financial and technical topics
- Systems-savvy finance professional, comfortable working with modern accounting and reporting tools; experience with SAP S/4HANA and consolidation tools such as SAP Analytics is a strong advantage
- Experience in a global, matrix organisation, ideally within a manufacturing or operationally complex environment
