Deal Optimization Manager at Malt, Europe's top freelance marketplace, maximizing deal profitability and operational feasibility through effective governance and partnership.
Responsibilities
Lead the overall Deal Governance framework, including revisiting Commercial Guidelines and Go/No-Go criteria.
Identify, define and implement commercial guardrails in partnership with other functions (Legal, Finance, Product and Operations).
Establish and facilitate weekly Deal Desk forums to provide high-touch support for complex, large-scale negotiations.
Optimize deal structures to maximize win rates for new logos and retention rates for client renewals.
Bridge the gap between Commercial and other departments (Product, Ops, Finance) to ensure all commitments are executable.
Monitor deal intelligence by establishing an operating model based on win/loss data and commercial feedback.
Implement business and finance approval flows within Salesforce to ensure improved deal governance.
Requirements
Commercial acumen: Strong understanding of deal structuring and pricing optimization in a B2B environment.
Relevant experience (minimum 5 years): Proven track record in deal governance, commercial finance, or sales operations.
Fluent English is mandatory, as this role requires aligning global standards across all Malt territories. French is a plus.
Diplomatic influencer: Ability to connect cross-functionally and achieve win–win outcomes through diplomatic disagreement.
Analytical mindset: Comfortable using data to provide the “voice of Commercial” insights to other functions.
