Responsibilities
Building relationships and developing trust, providing thought leadership to business and technology change delivery colleagues
Owning the technology strategy for your area of focus and maintaining alignment with and influencing the wider Group strategies
Responsible for all architecture decisions, continually influencing, challenging, and supporting the Commercial teams to build and align to their strategic roadmaps
Acting as the voice of the customer and facing into all the Group Enabling Platforms to facilitate delivery of the business roadmaps
Understanding the Commercial banking industry, building relationships with relevant third party vendors and acting as a senior partner to help them evolve their products and services to better meet the needs and strategies of Commercial clients
Collaborating with teams across the Group and leading, directing, and shaping approaches to solving technical and business challenges, translating requirements into solutions and detailed roadmaps
Requirements
Strong storytelling skills, both written and verbally
Demonstrable experience of technology architecture, and how to architect systems to meet the business needs
Broad technology knowledge across various topics including domean driven models, microservices, event-driven design, hybrid cloud deployment models, cloud service provider technologies, devops, CI/CD, modern data paradigms, cyber security, resilience by design and sustainability
Awareness of emerging technologies (e.g., Gen AI, Quantum computing) their maturity and strong understanding of their potential business application and consequences including how they align to long term strategy
Proven success in establishing a culture of continuous improvement and driving innovation
Breadth of experience in architecture, in a regulated industry (ideally financial)
