About the role
- Accountant managing financial processes for the Düsseldorf location of Leyton, supporting innovation and sustainability projects. Collaborate with teams to ensure compliant and efficient accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for daily accounting for the German location (Düsseldorf)
- Ensure month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) in coordination with internal partners and external service providers
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and regular financial and management reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor, analyze and optimize accounting processes in line with group policies and compliance requirements
- Manage cash management and actively ensure stable liquidity planning
- Serve as the central point of contact for auditors, tax advisors and international finance teams
- Support the implementation, further development and use of accounting systems (e.g., YOOZ, SAGE X3)
- Work closely with Controlling to support corporate planning, performance analyses and data-driven decision-making
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and the continuous optimization of financial processes and structures
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally in an international, dynamic environment
- Solid knowledge of HGB accounting as well as reporting and planning processes
- Experience with YOOZ and/or SAGE X3 is a plus
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify business interdependencies across functions
- Structured, detail-oriented and pragmatic working style
- Confident communication in German and English (C1 level)
