About the role
- Senior Buyer managing staffing and temporary workforce processes in a multinational company. Focus on negotiation and purchasing methodologies in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end hiring processes for temporary workers (operational and/or administrative): strategy, tendering, negotiation, contracting and governance.
- Design acquisition models for demand and seasonality (peaks, ramp-up/ramp-down), ensuring capacity and SLA fulfillment.
- Build and sustain negotiations based on TCO and cost composition (payroll charges, benefits, fees, additional payments, absenteeism, turnover) and productivity.
- Develop and apply procurement methodologies: Strategic Sourcing, benchmarking, scenario analysis and process standardization.
- Orchestrate alignment with internal stakeholders (Operations, People/HR, Legal, Finance, Occupational Health & Safety), ensuring compliance and contractual adherence.
- Manage supplier (agency) relationships and performance, focusing on quality, time-to-fill, retention and operational discipline.
Requirements
- Solid, senior-level experience in Procurement with a focus on temporary workforce and/or staffing services in high-scale environments.
- Strong command of cost breakdown for temporary staffing and the ability to negotiate complex pricing structures.
- Experience with contracts, SLAs/KPIs and supplier governance.
- Advanced Excel skills (modeling, scenarios, large datasets, dashboards).
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in operations with high seasonality (logistics, distribution centers, retail, e-commerce).
- Knowledge of hybrid models: temporary staffing + outsourcing + talent pool + contingency.
- Familiarity with ERPs/SRMs and contract and performance management tools.
