Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Review and validate employee hours, pay rates, overtime, and deductions.
Ensure all payroll tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and contributions are correct.
Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
Serve as the first point of contact for payroll inquiries and change requests.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal labor laws affecting payroll processing.
Assisted in payroll audits and ensured adherence to healthcare industry compliance standards.
Generate and submit quarterly, annual (W-2), and ad hoc reports as required.
Assist with payroll-related projects and process improvements.
Requirements
3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in Home Health and Hospice
Proficiency in Paylocity, Wellsky, Carevoyant, Careficient, or similar payroll systems
Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals & payroll compliance
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
Exceptional communication skills (verbal & Written)
High Integrity, attention to detail, and ethical standards
Prolonged sitting is required in an office environment.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and courteously.
It requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs.
Work requires considerable sitting and close-up vision work.
