Responsibilities
Proficiency in Process Engineering design
Work effectively alone or in multi-discipline project team environment for the oil and gas and renewable energy industries
Strong debottlenecking and troubleshooting skills
Knowledgeable in Regulatory requirements /compliance and Industry Codes and Standards such as: ABSA , ANSI, and API
Be the Engineer of Record when required
Conceptual Studies, pre-FEED and FEED studies (FEL1, FEL2, and FEL3)
Block Flow Diagrams (BFD), Process Design Basis (PDB), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Heat & Material Balances (HMB), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), LDTs (Line Designation Tables), Design Basis Memorandum (DBM), Shutdown Keys, Process Control Narrative
As-Built existing facilities
Lead or participate in PHAs, HAZOPs, HAZIDs, LOPA
Communicate well with team members and clients
Manage project workload and performance (self and others if required)
Guide and mentor engineers, providing technical support and fostering their professional growth in engineering principles and practices.
Requirements
Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering or equal
P.Eng. designation in Alberta, other jurisdictions are beneficial
10-15 years of Process Engineering experience
Experience in the following areas: Oil and gas production facilities, Compression facilities, Gathering Systems, Pipeline facilities, Fractionation Plants, Turbo-Expander Cryogenic Plants, Dehydration Units, Waste Heat Recovery, Renewable Energy Processes, and Loading Terminals
Proficient in Process simulation software such as HYSYS and Symmetry or equal
Engineer Mechanical focused on designing propulsion systems for submarines at Newport News Shipbuilding. Developing and qualifying mechanical products within the complex naval shipbuilding industry.
Welding Engineer researching and studying the properties of materials for shipbuilding technology at Newport News Shipbuilding. Responsible for testing and ensuring quality standards are met.
