Engineer in electrical planning for substations at kuhn+partner INGENIEURE. Designing innovative solutions for electrical primary technology in high voltage projects.
Responsibilities
You prepare and revise documentation (plans, tender documents) for the electrical primary technology of high- and extra-high-voltage substations — particularly in the field of renewable energies for industrial clients and utilities — across all service phases of the HOAI.
You design lightning protection and earthing/grounding systems as well as external/site lighting.
You work on feasibility studies as well as conceptual and detailed design planning for new build, expansion and modification projects for substations, taking into account the relevant technical standards and regulations.
You prepare project-specific specifications and bills of quantities.
You independently develop concepts and design variants for projects.
You collaborate closely with project assistants, designers/drafters and the civil engineering and secondary systems planning teams.
You respond to queries regarding the electrical planning.
You perform cost calculations and maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
You have a degree in engineering with a focus on electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Alternatively, you hold a state-certified technician diploma in energy engineering with several years of professional experience.
You possess strong specialist knowledge in the field of substations.
You are familiar with project-specific guidelines and DIN standards.
You have experience in planning high- and extra-high-voltage projects.
You are proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and engineering software for electrical engineering.
You have good organisational skills and work in a structured, solution-oriented manner.
You are a team player but also work independently with a high level of care and conscientiousness.
You have excellent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
Ideally, you have an interest in BIM methodology or have already gained experience delivering projects with BIM.
