About the role
- Area Plant Manager overseeing 3-6 asphalt plants and promoting safety and efficiency in operations. Requires strong knowledge of asphalt operations and 5+ years of management experience in the field.
Responsibilities
- Oversee safety, production, scheduling and maintenance functions of 3-6 asphalt plants.
- Provide leadership in safety, quality, staff scheduling and improving plant efficiency.
- Report to and work closely with the Vice President of Operations on daily plant operations, maintenance and capital expenditures planning.
- Lead with Safety and promote a safe working environment.
- Achieve organizational goals.
- Responsible for the efficiency of the entire operation of the asphalt plants.
- Review plant-operating practices ensuring that safety, quality and production standards are maintained/enhanced.
- Develop preventive maintenance plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 or more years, preferred of Asphalt Plant Operations in an asphalt plant management capacity.
- Strong working knowledge of asphalt plant operations, equipment, and controls
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
- Associate and or bachelor's degree preferred.
