About the role
- Director Order Management leading a team handling operational responsibilities for industrial heat exchangers. Overseeing planning process and customer relations in Sarstedt, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Order Management team at the Sarstedt site (5 direct reports, 21 indirect reports)
- Act as the interface to Sales, Production Planning and the R&D/Development department
- Responsibility for and implementation of the planning process - SIOP
- Customer contact regarding delivery dates and product specifications — serving particularly as an escalation point
- Preparation of the weekly sales forecast
- Operational responsibility for sales and order intake
- Member of the site management team
Requirements
- University degree in a technical field (e.g., Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering)
- Several years of leadership experience in Order Management or Sales
- Excellent communication skills — including the ability to handle conflict situations
- Creativity in developing technical or commercial solutions
- Knowledge of contract law
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Good SAP (SD module) knowledge as well as Microsoft 365
