Responsibilities
Manage and mentor Group Leaders, offering line management, pastoral care, and career development guidance
Shape and deliver 1- and 5-year capability plans (skills, recruitment, supply chain) aligned to business strategy
Oversee salary reviews and promotion assessments in line with competency frameworks
Balance team capacity and demand, mobilising resources to meet strategic and tactical needs
Champion technical excellence and quality standards across projects and commercial activity
Contribute directly to technical delivery and delegated project roles
Support risk management, client engagement, and new business development
Advance interdisciplinary investment opportunities consistent with the company’s strategic goals
Manage and protect intellectual property in collaboration with legal and innovation teams
Requirements
Extensive experience in a consultancy environment.
Significant people and line management experience
Significant academic and practical knowledge of technical area
Knowledge of a recognised PM framework
Evidence of supporting the development of bids by preparing or scrutinising the costs associated with the proposed technical approach
Master’s Degree (Level 7) / higher or equivalent in relevant area
