About the role
- Legal Counsel providing advisory services to DACH leadership team at IVC Evidensia, one of the leading veterinary care providers.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all day-to-day legal matters in the DACH region
- Ensure consistency and alignment with the Group Legal team, frameworks, policies, and risk appetite
- Draft and review commercial, property, customer, and supplier agreements to support business operations
- Manage commercial and property-related claims and disputes
- Advise on employment law and HR-related matters
- Monitor and advise on regulatory requirements, including EU and local obligations
- Support the business on insurance-related matters in coordination with finance and risk teams
- Build strong working relationships across business functions
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with strong academic credentials
- Licensed to practise within the relevant jurisdiction in the DACH region
- 10+ years of experience in an in-house legal role within a complex B2C organisation
- Broad legal expertise, particularly from corporate, M&A, or other transactional practice groups
- Experience managing, evaluating, and instructing external counsel
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Exceptional communication skills
- Commercial mindset with a solid understanding of legal, operational, and reputational risk
- Ability to anticipate and address legal and risk considerations proactively
