- Senior Network Engineer for Johnson Brothers, a leading beverage distributor, managing enterprise networking services and physical security infrastructure. Leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing team of network engineers responsible for data center networking
- Maintaining firewall rule sets and overall health
- SD-WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi across branches nationwide
- Supporting a cloud-driven phone system, collaboration tools, and meeting room technologies
- Physical security infrastructure, including on-prem and cloud-managed enterprise camera systems
- Camera network design, deployment, and lifecycle management
- Video storage, retention, and secure access controls
- Vendor coordination for camera installations, cabling, and maintenance
- Monitoring and troubleshooting camera system health and performance
- Leading projects and troubleshooting with Johnson Brothers IT personnel
- Communicate with and engage with internal business partners, management, and key stakeholders
- Monitor and maintain the health of network infrastructure, lead efforts to continually improve stability of the enterprise network
- Plan, lead, and implement network changes, and communicate the impact of changes to the business
- Help determine priorities for the network team
- Mentor junior network engineers
- Work trouble tickets, create and update documentation for network team
Requirements
- Extensive experience working in an enterprise network
- Networking education, vendor certification (CCNP), or equivalent work experience
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to plan, lead, and implement complex projects
- Advanced network troubleshooting skills
- 7+ years of networking experience
- Experience implementing and troubleshooting SD-WAN networks
- Advanced experience with enterprise switch infrastructure
- Advanced wireless knowledge, including implementation and troubleshooting
- Palo Alto enterprise firewall experience
- Packet capture analysis experience
- Network design experience
- Experience with enterprise physical security systems, including on-prem and cloud-managed camera platforms (e.g., Verkada, Alta, Avigilon)
- Familiarity with physical access control systems and their network dependencies.
