About the role
- Network Engineer II responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of network engineering infrastructure at Landis+Gyr. Collaborating with operations and cloud teams to optimize solutions.
Responsibilities
- responsible to the Manager, Software and Services, for installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Landis+Gyr system’s network engineering infrastructure
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining all network engineering equipment.
- Configure, maintain, and document all network elements supporting customer connectivity.
- Maintain and troubleshoot WAN/LAN and Cloud network connectivity.
- Work in tandem with our operation and cloud teams to identify and implement the most optimal solutions for the company
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is in business or related field
- 6+ years of experience in:
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Cisco, WAN/LAN, routing and switching network design and troubleshooting
- Linux/Unix/Windows experience
- Cloud networking configuration and troubleshooting
- Network Load Balancer installation and management
- Network Firewall installation and management
- Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM) for IPv4 and IPv6
- Experience with Change Management process and procedures
- Experience with Technical Documentation - network drawings, and process/procedure
- CCNA certification preferred
- Associate Cloud Engineer or similar certification preferred
