About the role
- Manager overseeing restricted access vehicle applications and enquiries for NSW transportation. Leading technical operations and stakeholder relations for road safety and infrastructure protection.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team overseeing the day-to-day coordination of restricted access vehicle (RAV) applications and enquiries on the NSW State Road Network.
- Provide technical and operational leadership to ensure access decisions align with road safety, infrastructure protection, and sustainable freight outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to balance industry demand with public safety and efficient road network performance.
- Support continuous improvement of access processes and the shift toward automated, data-driven access systems, including the Automated Access Assessment Program (AAAP).
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver accurate and timely decisions while maintaining a safe and respectful working environment.
- A strong understanding of freight access management, road network operations, and Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements as they relate to access arrangements.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent and relevant professional experience.
- Ideally come from a project planning and /or project management background where you’ve been required to manage a wide array of stakeholders in complex design and delivery environments with interaction across a large, complex organisation.
