About the role
- Senior Manager Safety Programs with Transport for NSW managing priority road safety initiatives and overseeing complex projects for community and industry impact. Providing strategic leadership and ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, operational, and specialist leadership to manage a portfolio of priority Road Safety Programs
- Support the full lifecycle of program and project services from design to delivery through monitoring and acquittal
- Ensure timely and effective delivery of outcomes and strategic alignment to broader TfNSW road safety objectives
- Drive financial sustainability and operational effectiveness by overseeing program governance, compliance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of grant funding programs from inception to acquittal
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Proven operational experience in leading complex multi-stakeholder road safety or transport safety programs at a strategic and operational level
- Success in the delivery of large and complex projects and programs, on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of program and project management frameworks, including compliance with funding and reporting requirements
- Ability to manage risks, issues, and changes effectively within a portfolio environment
- Comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where delivery on tight deadlines is critical
- Self-starter who knows how to build strong relationships, collaborate and communicate effectively to drive outcomes
