About the role
- Senior Accountant managing a portfolio of clients for a Corporate Service Provider in Malta. This hybrid position offers competitive salary and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare management accounts for clients and manage their annual audits to meet deadlines
- Complete and submit VAT Returns for all clients
- Review financial statements and VAT Returns prepared by other team members
- Check that all client work meets deadlines and legal rules
- Talk regularly with management about client needs and service quality improvements
- Report important accounting problems to management
- Mentor and help junior team members with their daily tasks and technical questions
- Assist management in training, writing articles, and reporting on major accounting issues
Requirements
- Fully qualified Accountant in Malta – non-negotiable
- 2+ years of experience in client accounting environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – non-negotiable
- Proficient in Excel, Word, as well as SAGE
- Problem solving, and be able to prioritise work on multiple assignments
- Team oriented and eager to engage with colleagues
- Strong attention to detail
