About the role
- Senior Management Accountant overseeing group’s cost base at a cybersecurity consultancy with remote work options. Prepare management accounts, manage payroll, and maintain financial controls.
Responsibilities
- Prepare robust management accounts which are compliant with local GAAP and internal policies and procedures.
- Responsible for full purchasing process from purchase order to payment.
- Maintain loan and interest schedules.
- Prepare schedules for the annual audit process.
- Track changes in staff costs and explain variances.
- Ensure accurate fixed asset registers are maintained.
- Prepare VAT returns.
- Train, coach and motivate the assistant accountant.
- Provide insightful financial information to key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA preferred) with 4+ years’ PQE.
- Experience of preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience of managing an assistant.
- Exposure to running payroll.
- Sound technical accounting knowledge, ideally including consolidation.
- Big 4 trained (highly preferred).
