Responsibilities
Collaborate on concept development and system design of electronic and electromechanical assemblies/systems/interfaces
Analyze requirements
Design electronic circuits (schematics)
PCB/PCBA layout design
Specify cables and components
Support specification of HW/SW interfaces and the creation of technical requirements/specifications
Support development of test concepts for PCB/PCBA validation (durability, EMC/EMI, stress tests, etc.) and for series production (quality assurance)
Serve as technical contact for suppliers and production sites
Provide technical support for construction, commissioning and testing of prototypes
Develop and integrate communication electronics
Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEC, IPC, UL, EMC/EMI, safety, reliability, and where applicable automotive/industrial standards)
Requirements
Completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a comparable field
At least 5 years of professional experience in embedded hardware development
Confident use of schematic and PCB/PCBA design tools (Altium Designer)
Solid knowledge in the development of microcontroller-based systems including power supplies
Experience with circuit simulation (e.g., LTSpice, PSpice, Multisim, MATLAB/Simulink)
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits (operational amplifiers, ADC/DAC, filters, voltage regulation)
Demonstrable expertise in EMI/EMC design techniques and standards-compliant hardware development
Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes (DFM/DFT, bills of materials, assembly instructions, test strategies)
Practical experience debugging with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter and other laboratory test equipment
Ability to perform fault analysis and optimize hardware for performance, cost and reliability
Very good German and English language skills (at least B2)
