About the role
- Manages strategic supply chain projects for Celestica while ensuring proper process implementation. Leading commodity management teams and optimizing supply chain performance for global customers.
Responsibilities
- Maintains responsibility for a set of projects developed by Celestica’s Global Design Services organization
- Provides direction for source selection and ensures proper process implementation
- Leads the Commodity Management teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans
- Leads the supply chain management process for customers from materials pricing and BOM analysis to delivery execution and flexibility performance
- Quotes and negotiates critical high dollar or strategic commodities or provides the direction to team of commodity managers
- Provides leadership in the analysis of costed customer bids or quarterly BOM Costing exercises for global customers
- Works with Global Design team to optimize Design for supply chain performance of Celestica products
- Provides direction to Commodity Management Teams on contract negotiations
- Supports quarterly business reviews with customers, and with senior management at key/strategic suppliers
- Provides leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers
- Leads process development and development of commodity strategies
Requirements
- Advanced expertise in one or more areas of specialization
- Excellent understanding of global business environment and Customers business, organization, products and processes
- Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively
- Expert knowledge of office systems and analytical tools
- Expert problem solving skills to deal with Customer/ Supplier issues
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and with suppliers/ customers to achieve Celestica’s goals
