Responsibilities
Evaluate risks in life, critical illness and disability insurance and provide high-level expertise for advanced financial underwriting selection.
Produce high-quality assessments with a service turnaround time of under 24 hours.
Negotiate with reinsurers and the sales force.
Provide advisory, support and mentoring as the financial-analysis resource within pricing teams.
Share your knowledge with various departments, including oversight and quality control of agents and MGAs.
Collaborate closely with the financial and tax solutions team to deliver comprehensive service, including preliminary analysis of large-case pricing files to generate new business, and be available to answer pricing questions related to Mid Market cases.
Deliver presentations and training sessions on Mid Market pricing to MGAs and advisors regarding iA's pricing philosophy, new guidelines, or clarifications to existing rules.
Requirements
University degree (Bachelors) and/or 10 years of relevant pricing experience, including a minimum of 5 years as a pricer in the Mid Market.
ALU designation (an asset).
FLMI designation (an asset).
Advanced proficiency in English, as the role requires daily communication with English-speaking clients and partners across Canada via email and phone.
Excellent financial analysis skills.
Ability to communicate and explain complex concepts using your expertise.
