Responsibilities
Design mechanical and thermal hardware solutions, including electronics enclosures and production tooling, using established engineering principles and in alignment with development standards, practices, and guidelines.
Develop and execute design parameters and test plans for new and existing products, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, fan performance, system power measurements, and acoustics.
Collaborate effectively with management, internal stakeholders, and outsourced development partners to communicate design status, project progress, risks, and issue resolution.
Manage relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers by setting clear expectations for deliverables, quality, schedules, and cost; ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
Lead cross‑functional project teams of mechanical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced partners to deliver reliable, cost‑effective, and high‑quality solutions for moderately complex products.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Typically 4–7 years of relevant professional experience in engineering design, hardware development, and solution implementation across the product development lifecycle, or an advanced degree with 3–5 years of related experience.
