Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining the overall functionality and appearance of the hotel’s physical structure and systems.
Perform preventative maintenance, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel’s facilities and systems are functioning efficiently.
Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests during maintenance calls.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Report major repair needs or equipment malfunctions to the Chief Engineer.
Requirements
Previous experience in building maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
Hospitality experience is a plus.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Basic carpentry, painting, and general repair skills.
Familiarity with safety codes and regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems a plus.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities such as climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and working in tight spaces.
