Responsibilities
Lead and grow the Mobile Platform team, including senior engineers and/or engineering managers, with a focus on high standards, clarity, and sustainable velocity.
Define and evolve the mobile platform strategy across iOS and Android, including shared architecture, tooling, CI/CD, testing frameworks, release processes, and performance foundations.
Partner closely with Mobile Product, Design, Data, and AI teams to enable faster experimentation and delivery of customer-facing features.
Drive adoption of AI-assisted development workflows across mobile engineering (e.g., code generation, testing, debugging, release validation), measuring impact on quality and speed.
Ensure mobile foundations support Homebase’s transition toward agentic, AI-powered mobile experiences.
Stay close to the details—reviewing designs, unblocking complex technical challenges, and helping teams make high-quality decisions quickly.
Build strong in-office collaboration habits that strengthen trust, learning, and execution across hubs.
Requirements
8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant depth in mobile (iOS and/or Android) and platform or infrastructure-style teams.
3+ years of engineering management experience, including managing senior engineers and/or managers.
Proven experience building shared platforms, frameworks, or developer tooling that scales across multiple product teams.
Strong systems thinking and architectural judgment, especially in fast-moving product environments.
Clear, direct communicator who balances empathy with decisiveness.
AI Fluency (Required)
Demonstrated ability to retool team workflows using AI and automation, with clear examples of measured impact (speed, quality, or reliability).
