About the role

  • Inspector overseeing Operations & Planning in the Australian Border Force. Conducting efficient customs, migration, and surveillance activities in the Northern Territory.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and sustain the resources through the delivery of workforce modelling
  • Provide Branch-wide support on diverse issues
  • Provide expert planning advice to the Superintendent Planning
  • Engage collaboratively with counterparts across the Branch
  • Facilitate best practice processes
  • Identify and solve key workforce management issues
  • Lead change management and reform
  • Implement planning frameworks, business improvement strategies, and corporate governance
  • Provide effective communications and timely reporting within Operations NT

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in leading change management
  • Extensive experience in managing workforce, human resources, finances, and property
  • Demonstrated ability of self-motivation, initiative, adaptability, and capability to respond quickly to unexpected operational needs
  • Prior front-line knowledge and experience in ABF environments
  • High level of understanding of the legislation and Enterprise Agreement
  • Effective time management skills
