Responsibilities
Partner with business unit leadership to diagnose complex strategic and operational issues, develop actionable recommendations, and support program execution
Lead high-priority initiatives including operational transformations, manufacturing scale-up, and growth strategy development within HII’s business units
Support the unmanned and autonomous systems portfolios on topics such as operating model design, execution improvement, capability development, and strategic prioritization
Design and implement HII’s standard production system by partnering with operations leaders at the program, site, and enterprise levels
Build executive-ready analyses, recommendations, and presentations to support C-suite and board-level decision making and alignment
Support the Enterprise Advanced Technology roadmap, including robotics, automation, additive manufacturing, AI, and other manufacturing technologies
Partner with HII’s divisions to lead enterprise-wide advanced technology and Industry 4.0 transformation initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; OR Master’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience
Prior consulting or investment banking experience
Manufacturing and/or logistics experience
Familiarity with high-complexity / defense manufacturing or shipbuilding is a plus
Capable of building alignment, trust, and momentum across large groups of people, from skilled craftspeople to executive leadership
Familiarity with unmanned systems, autonomous technologies, or operational transformation is a plus
Comfort creating structure from ambiguity, applying first principles problem-solving, and moving quickly with imperfect data
