Workday Data Lead for a hybrid 6 month Outside IR35 contract at Benefact Group in Gloucester. Responsible for leading data conversion and ensuring compliance during Workday ERP implementation.

- Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer designing and deploying machine learning algorithms at Helvetic Payroll. Collaborating closely with business teams for impactful solutions and measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Designing and deploying ML models (recommender systems, classifiers, Generative AI)
- Measuring the ROI of models in production and building business case presentations
- Building CI/CD pipelines and working closely with Data Engineers
- Deploying ML solutions in Vertex AI (GCP)
- Managing project milestones and presenting progress and outcomes to leadership
- Interacting with business teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Presenting technical results and project outcomes to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and accessible way
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning
- Strong specialization in Data Science with proven hands-on experience
- Previous experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ideally Vertex AI
- Expert in Python and SQL
- Solid experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of Airflow and Terraform
- Strong business acumen: ability to turn data into actionable business decisions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical topics simply and effectively
- Experience with Generative AI in production settings is a strong plus
- Proficiency in English mandatory (C1 minimum).
