About the role

• Finance professional collaborating closely with startup founder to innovate finance processes in a rapidly growing SaaS environment. Responsible for financial planning, reporting, and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Close collaboration with our founder Domenik: You will work directly with him as his extended arm in finance and make strategic decisions together.
• Rethink finance with AI & automation: Identify manual processes in finance and automate them — using tools like n8n or Zapier.
• Financial planning, budgeting & forecasting: Take ownership of financial planning and continuously develop it.
• KPI, cash flow & liquidity monitoring: Keep track of key metrics and derive actionable recommendations.
• Reporting for investors & executive management: Produce monthly reports, dashboards and analyses, and support preparation of investor presentations.
• Tool rollout & enablement: When new finance tools are introduced, you are responsible for implementing them within the team and ensuring adoption.
• Internal point of contact for all finance matters: You are the first port of call for all teams — from Sales and Customer Success to Product.
• Collaboration with external partners: Coordinate work with tax advisors, banks and auditors.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, Business Informatics or a comparable field — a master’s degree is a clear plus
• 1–2 years of experience in a finance-related role — e.g., auditing, investment banking, corporate finance or finance at a startup
• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
• Preferably some experience with finance tools such as Stripe, DATEV or similar
• Preferably some experience with automation tools like n8n or Zapier
• Team-player mentality and genuine enthusiasm for actively shaping processes
• Native-level German and solid English skills
