Responsibilities
- Use underwriting information and internal resources to support underwriting decisions.
- Assist in file and policy preparation.

- Prepare and process policies and endorsements for issuance in accordance with binders and Underwriters instructions.
- Code premium in accordance with division guidelines.
- Assist in the review of new and renewal submissions.
- Request and review incoming Broker of Record letters.
- Request documentation from the broker for rating, quoting, binding, and policy issuance.
- Review policy information for accurate processing.
- Assist in the review of guidelines and SOPs.
- Work with management to mentor Junior underwriting assistants.
Requirements
- Experience in the commercial insurance industry and regulatory environment.
- 5-10 years minimum directly supporting commercial lines underwriters.
- Bachelor's degree; OR 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting.
- Working knowledge of PDF, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Project management software – like Monday.com
- Familiarity with Policy Administration software – Origami, Federado
