Responsibilities
Manage a crew ensuring its effective operation by coordinating and directing employees
Assign tasks and coordinate flow of work
Oversee completion of work and monitor performance of subordinates
Provide leadership, training, and development of workforce
Participate in continuous improvement activities as part of the site management team
Ensure site strategy and Company policies are delivered and followed
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following, implementing, and enforcing Company safety standards
Meet productivity targets by establishing clear goals for team
Enhance employee engagement by providing leadership and direction
Lead or assist in the investigation of all injuries, accidents, and near-miss incidents in assigned area
Requirements
Three (3) years of leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in the Pulp & Paper Industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Proven experience with reliability and continuous improvement principles and techniques
Solid oral and written communication skills
Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule and overtime as required
Available to work on holiday, off-days, and weekends
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening and reference check
Legally authorized to work in the United States
