About the role
- Mechanical Construction Quality Assurance Inspection Professional providing on-site quality assurance and compliance monitoring for construction of a weapons storage facility. Join a veteran-owned small business delivering facility management to federal agencies.
Responsibilities
- Provide construction-phase support services for a weapons storage and maintenance facility
- Provide on-site quality assurance and compliance monitoring throughout the construction process
- Attend post-award conferences to align administrative policies and project requirements
- Monitor the contractor’s quality control system to ensure timely and accurate submittals
- Verify adequacy and calibration of test equipment and adherence to testing standards
- Spot-check approved submittals during implementation
- Review daily Quality Control Reports (QCRs) and compare them to QA reports, reporting discrepancies to the COR
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and investigations; collect data and prepare detailed reports documenting findings
- Verify that the contractor’s three-phase control system is correctly implemented
- Ensure all required shop drawings are submitted and approved
- Adhere to EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards
- Review and monitor environmental submittals and permits
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of construction-related experience
- 2 years of continuous experience inspecting construction contract work for similar projects
- 2 years of experience in on-site quality assurance or quality control duties
- NACI Clearance (or the ability to obtain it)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1) and OSHA standards
