About the role

- Independently responsible for international material procurement
- Participation in negotiating national and international framework agreements
- Optimization of the supplier portfolio

- Monitoring and tracking delivery dates
- Maintenance of the ERP system: creation and upkeep of master data
- Creation and maintenance of articles and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Point of contact for suppliers regarding inquiries and orders
- Material planning and inventory optimization
- Processing and review of engineering documentation - interface between design and production
- Preparation and review of bills of materials and work/process plans
Requirements
- Completed technical vocational training or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge in machining, welding and assembly techniques
- Proficient in MS Office and experience working with ERP systems
- Good communication skills and a hands-on mentality
- Confident reading of technical drawings
- Good written and spoken English
- Previous experience in shipbuilding/hydraulics is advantageous
