About the role
- Business Analyst supporting the DISA program as a liaison between stakeholders and software development team. Engaging with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the key liaison between stakeholders and the software development team, translating complex business needs and mission requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed specifications for software developers
- Conduct requirements walkthroughs, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions
- Assist in developing workflows, process maps, and data models to support solution design
- Validate delivered functionality against requirements through reviews, demonstrations, and testing support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience required
- Active DoD Secret Clearance required
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Analyst, or similar role supporting software development projects
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency with requirements management tools such as Jira, Confluence, DOORS, or similar
