Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical reference for the data engineering team, guiding architecture decisions, defining standards, and promoting best practices;
• Define, evolve, and maintain a Lakehouse-based data architecture using Databricks;
• Design and implement large-scale data ingestion, processing, and provisioning pipelines;
• Ensure performance, availability, security, and governance of data assets;
• Collaborate with product, technology, and business teams to turn analytical needs into sustainable, scalable technical solutions;
• Establish and promote DataOps practices, versioning, automated testing, and continuous integration for data pipelines;
• Review technical deliveries to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to defined standards;
• Monitor platform costs and operational efficiency, driving continuous optimizations;
• Support technical prioritization and roadmap planning for the data platform;
• Identify technical risks and propose continuous improvements to architecture, processes, and operations;
• Orchestrate complex workflows with proactive monitoring and implementation of intelligent alerts;

Requirements

• Previous experience in technical leadership or coordination of data teams
• Proven experience in data engineering or data architecture in corporate environments
• Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in at least one data-processing language such as Python, Scala, or similar
• Solid experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Jobs, and notebooks)
• Experience with cloud data architecture, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Experience with analytical data modeling and distributed processing
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security practices
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences

• Certifications in Databricks or cloud providers
• Knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud or Customer Data Platform (CDP) platforms
• Experience with data streaming and messaging systems
