About the role

  • Assistant Tax Auditor in Athens with Forvis Mazars collaborating on tax audit engagements and developing technical knowledge in tax compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the execution of tax audit procedures in accordance with applicable tax regulations
  • Collecting, reviewing and analyzing financial and tax-related data
  • Assisting in the preparation of working papers and audit documentation
  • Applying technology tools in the performance of tax audit procedures
  • Staying up to date with current tax regulations and developments
  • Contributing to effective communication with clients and internal teams

Requirements

  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field (MSc will be considered an asset)
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in an audit or accounting firm
  • Exposure to tax-related projects or completion of the Tax Seminar provided by AUEB is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken)
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Team player with strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Positive attitude, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to learn and continuously develop
